A warm welcome inside the House of Baldwin

To our friends and neighbors, welcome inside the House of Baldwin.

  • It’s not a furniture brand with heavy influence from King Henry the VIII.
  • Nor is it a tribute site to the Baldwin piano.
  • It’s NOT a sensationalized rumor mill for the family of actors Alec, Billy, or Stephen Baldwin.

It’s a place to publish and share the comings and goings of Brad, Amy, Dallen, Jed, Bridget, and Abby Baldwin.

Welcome inside.

Bro’s and Sis’s at Dinner

All the kids got together this holiday season to have a little dinner. The only missing kids were Scott and his wife Jeana — they’re off in Texas. Brian was also out to a travel soccer team event with one of his kids. We all enjoyed the socializing and eating a big pile of pasta at Macaroni Grill.

Oh no…a Victoria’s Secret box

Jed was concerned when he saw that a present came packaged in a pretty pink box. Should he open it? Should he move to a private room?

Watch and find out what happened.

Screams

Bridget’s always been easy to buy presents for. She was excited to open this present. Watch her moments of delight.

The thrill, the adventure, the mystery

What’s in the pink box. Is it underwear? Is it frilly? Is it an unmentionable?

Watch Dallen uncover this present.

Uh Oh…the snow is sticking

AmyWe are finally getting our Christmas blog up and running…and it’s 4 days before Christmas. Fabulous. I must thank Brad for all the time he spent trying to get this blog theme to work. It took an entire day of what should have been spent on work projects. What would I do without him keeping me on the cutting edge?

We will leave this blog as is and add things from time to time. So, if you’re ever bored and wonder what is happening in the lives of the Baldwin family, type in houseofbaldwin.com and view the latest. Of course, I use that word loosely because it’s our “family blog,” not Brad’s blog. Each of the kids will have their own page and can adds things to it as they please. We have actually added some movies, to their pages, that they made this past year. We’ll see how it goes.

Brad’s 2006 Year in Review

A number of great things happened this year. Here’s just a few.

MacBook ProI bought a Mac. I’m so in love. I love to curl up with my sleek silver MacBook Pro. I can use Apple’s OS X or run Windows (boo-hiss) with a program called Parallels (I talked all about my experience in my personal blog).

Start blogging in February. I waited about a year from when I thought I should start, but I had to get to the point I could be committed. It’s kinda geeky, but that’s pretty much me under the balding and husky exterior. Blogging has been fun because it’s allowed me to write. It’s not that I’m trying to create a book or anything, it’s just the chance to let some ideas get released into the wild. Mostly just ramblings, I’ve had a few good “posts” that were insightful. I’ll let you decide.

The Latest on Abby

Abby

This year I have grown into such a big girl…although I still wear diapers and drink from a bottle. Oh well. Mom’s too old to do anything about it. Hopefully, I’ll be out of diapers and off the bottle by the time I enter Kindergarten.

I still get lots of attention, and I still demand lots of attention. I yell “Mom!” all day every day. It makes me mad when she doesn’t come to my every beck and call. It really irritates me when she won’t get out of her computer chair when I pull on her arm. Who does she think she is anyway?

Bridget’s Year of Fun

BridgetThis year was the best. In January I found out I was going to be in the Nutcracker! In February I got so much candy for Valentines. In March I started learning my dance for my summer dance recital. April was my friend’s birthday party. In May school was almost out! June, it was so fun. We went back to Arizona and I got to see all my old friends! July was so colorful. I loved watching the fireworks. In August I went to Grandma’s for almost two weeks. Also I started soccer once again. September, Happy Birthday Me! I had the best birthday party ever. In October Halloween was awesome. I got so much candy! November, Thanksgiving was a blast! December, I was in the Nutcracker. I had to make so much sacrifice to be in it.

My year review

JedWell, here I am, practically wasting my time typing this. ( yeah right.)

While I’m sick, really, on December 18, 2006 at 8:36, while I should really be sleeping. (now everyone who is ACTUALLY reading this laughs at this inside joke.)

Now as you see at the beginning of the slide show you are about to see, or have seen, I was performing for my purple belt in karate, that I have now finished up, and am now at this minute, a blue belt! (woot! And evil, for as many of you know, I absolutely hate BYU for personal reasons, and the main color at BYU is blue, I am almost completely anti BYU.) in the end I was a purple belt for way too long, the normal, a.k.a average amount of time that a purple belt is a purple belt is about 6 months tops. I was in for about 8, which is about the average amount of time that a red belt is in (a red belt is two advancements above purple.) at least. Any who, I already knew almost everything that I am being re-taught. () in fact, I knew almost everything that was being tested to the advanced belts.

What Happened To Me This Year

DallenI was asked to write a little short thing on what I did this year. I think that this is going to be a new tradition of ours for every Christmas time.

This year, I don’t really remember New Years Day; I think my dad and I went to Snowbird, where I pretty much bruised his pinky for life. Let us see, pretty soon, my family and I celebrated my mother’s birthday. Pretty soon it was my birthday, my teenage wasteland birthday; thirteen. I was in seventh grade and was the small one of the school, last year I was the big kid of the school at that time. I had my Solo night on the second; one day before my birthday, so I was stressed out a lot. But, when the night was over there was a lot of stress gone from my shoulders. On came March and I don’t think that there was anything that was significant about that month. I think that in April the Canyons closed, which left me and my friends without anything to do on the weekends. The snow was starting to get annoying and I wanted it to be summer; that’s usually what happens when spring comes around.
