MRJH Beginning Orchestra Spring Concert

Jed has been in the beginning orchestra class at Mountain Ridge all year. He is part of the 1st Violins group.

This is their spring concert. The group is progressing and showing improvement from the beginning of the year. You can’t see Jed, he is in the very back. But you can catch a glimpse of him walking off the stage at the end of their performance.

I told Jed that if he continues with violin and orchestra through junior high, then I will buy him a brand new violin to play in high school. He seemed pleased with the deal.

  1. Grandma B Said,

Great job Jed. I love violin music, also. Keep up the good work. I sure would do so if my mom would buy me a new violin to have to play in high school. I know some real cool boys in Rexburg, Idaho who can play the violin so well. The girls love them, too. They are so awesome. Your Aunt Jodi plays the violin very well, too!
    Love you,
    Grandma Baldwin

  2. Jodi Said,

Jed, you are full of surprises and talent! Way to go with the violin thing, I hope you keep it up and get way better than I did! You and Emily can do a duet at our family parties…

  3. Michelle Said,

Jed- That was a great concert to watch and listen to. I loved the Pachebel Cannon in D and the New World Symphony-Largo. I need to hear you play next time our families see each other. Keep practicing! Emily just got a new violin after 3 1/2 years. She moved up to a full size. I can’t wait until you two can play some duets. We have some fun music for you both to try. Do you like to play fiddle songs?

  4. JBaldwin Said,

Ummm, kinda late, but we just had our end of the year concert on tuesday ( May 20,2008) and it was all fiddle, which was pretty fun, so I’m ok with that, but Emily probably won’t be so optimistic toward the idea.
