Ever since Covid began, there has been an increase in YouTube channels about the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. They are myriad and they are diverse. They are created by members of different Christian sects. They are not equal in what they proclaim. Some creators stick solely to scripture, some expand scripture, and some look beyond scripture. I’ve noticed that there is an increase of sign seeking. Some creators look at daily international, national and local events as signs of Christ’s imminent coming. Everything happens for a reason. They won’t admit that life is made up of coincidence and chance. Some interpret scripture literally, others interpret scripture figuratively, and some do both. Few creators agree with each other. They may agree on some points, but not all. As a result they argue with each other over what is fact and what is tradition. It has become very confusing as a consumer. So I decided to go back to the source: Jesus Christ himself.
Granted, my beliefs and worldview is going to be influenced by my religion. That is to be expected. Therefore, I admit that what I study scripturally is not what everyone else does. So this post will be for someone who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and who believes that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that his revelations in the Doctrine and Covenants came from Christ himself.
President Harold B. Lee noted that some Church members seek information from unreliable sources concerning the signs that will precede the Second Coming. He specifically recommended that Church members study Matthew 24; Joseph Smith—Matthew; and Doctrine and Covenants sections 38, 45, 101, and 133. President Lee then stated: “These are some of the writings with which you should concern yourselves, rather than commentaries that may come from those whose information may not be the most reliable and whose motives may be subject to question” (“Admonitions for the Priesthood of God,” Ensign, Jan. 1973, 106).
The Doctrine and Covenant’s Student Manual suggests sections 29, 38, 45, 63, 84, 88, 101 and 133. Therefore, I have read these sections, along with JST Matthew 1, selected the verses that relate to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and have written, in story form, what Jesus Christ says will happen surrounding his second coming. I have attempted to place the events in chronological order, according to my understanding, but I’m not wed to the order. I could be incorrect in some instances.
The Times of the Gentiles Begins
When the times of the Gentiles begins, a light will burst among the people that sit in darkness, and it will be the fulness of the Lord’s gospel. But they won’t hear it because they won’t recognize the light, and they will turn their hearts away from the Lord because of the doctrines of men. The Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations.
Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, the Great I Am has called his people to gather his elect. The elect will be gathered from the four quarters of the earth. His elect are those who hear his voice and who don’t harden their hearts.
The Lord’s church is established in the last days for the restoration of his people. He has spoken this by the mouth of his prophets. His church is also established for the gathering of his saints to stand upon Mount Zion, which shall be the city of New Jerusalem.
The city will be built, beginning at the temple lot—which is appointed by the finger of the Lord—in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri. It is to be dedicated by Joseph Smith, Jun., and others whom the Lord is pleased with.
It’s the word of the Lord that the city New Jerusalem will be built by the gathering of the saints, beginning at the place of the temple. The temple will be built in this generation. This generation will not all pass away until a house is built unto the Lord. A cloud will rest upon it, which cloud will be the glory of the Lord, which will fill the house.
Prepare for The Day when the Wicked are Destroyed
The Lord God has sent his angel crying through the midst of heaven, saying:
“Prepare the way of the Lord, and make his paths straight, for the hour of his coming is near—When the Lamb shall stand upon Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having his Father’s name written on their foreheads. Therefore, prepare for the coming of the Bridegroom; go out to meet him. He will stand upon the Mount of Olives, and upon the mighty ocean, even the great deep, and upon the islands of the sea, and upon the land of Zion. And he will utter his voice out of Zion, and he shall speak from Jerusalem, and his voice shall be heard among all people.”
It is the Lord’s will that all people who call on his name—and who worship him according to his everlasting gospel—should gather together and stand in holy places. They should prepare for the coming revelation, when the veil of the covering of his temple, that is in his tabernacle, which hides the earth, will be taken off, and all flesh shall see him at the same time.
The Lord’s eyes are upon us. He is among us and we cannot see him. But the day will soon come when we will see him, and know that he is the Lord, because the veil of darkness will soon be torn, and those who are not purified will not abide the day.
The Father has decreed that his people should be gathered to one place on this land, to prepare their hearts and to be prepared in all things for the day when the wicked will suffer tribulation and desolation. The hour is near and the day soon when the earth is ready, and all the proud and wicked will be like stubble. The Lord will burn them up so that wickedness will not be on the earth. Because of the wickedness of the world, and because they won’t repent, the Lord will take vengeance on the wicked. The Lord’s cup of indignation is full. His blood will not cleanse them if they refuse to hear him. Then the end, which means the destruction of the wicked, will come.
Therefore, we are to prepare ourselves. The kingdom is ours, and the enemy will not defeat us. We are clean, but not all of us; there is no one else that the Lord is pleased with. All people are corrupt according to the Lord, and the powers of darkness are widespread on the earth, among the people, in the presence of all the hosts of heaven—This causes silence to prevail, and all eternity is offended, and the angels are waiting for the command to reap down the earth, to gather the tares and burn them. The enemy is united.
The Lord says that the fearful, and the unbelieving, and all liars, and those who love and make a lie, and the whoremonger, and the sorcerer, will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. This is the second death. They will not be a part of the first resurrection. However, His people are not justified because the evils listed above are among us.
The Lord God, even Jesus Christ, the Great I Am, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, has taken the Zion of Enoch into his bosom. He has kept the remainder of the wicked in chains of darkness until the great day’s judgment, which will come at the end of the earth. He will keep the wicked, those that will not hear his voice but will harden their hearts. Wo, wo, wo, is their doom.
After the testimony of the Lord’s servants, wrath and indignation will visit the people. And after the testimony of the Lord’s servants, will be the testimony of earthquakes, which will cause the earth to groan. People will fall on the ground and won’t be able to stand. There will also be the testimony of thunder and lightning, and tempests, and the waves of the sea extending past the shorelines. All things will be in commotion. All people’s hearts will fail them because they will be fearful.
Every profane thing—man, beasts of the field, fowls of the heavens, the fish of the sea—that dwells on all the face of the earth, will be consumed with fire. Elements will melt with forcible heat and all things will become new so that the Lord’s knowledge and glory may reside on all the earth.
The Lord speaks and it will be obeyed. The wicked should listen. The rebellious will fear and tremble. The unbelieving should be quiet because the day of wrath will visit them like a whirlwind. All flesh will know that the Lord is God.
Just like it was in the days of Noah—as it was in the days which were before the flood—it will also be at the Second Coming. Until the day that Noah entered the Ark people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. They ignored Noah’s preaching until the flood came, and took them all away. This will also happen before the Second Coming.
Look for the Signs of His Coming
Those people that reverence the Lord will look for His coming, they will look for the signs of the coming of the Son of Man. They will see signs and wonders that will be shown in the heavens above, and in the earth beneath. They will see blood, and fire, and vapors of smoke. Before the Lord’s coming, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will be turned to blood, and the stars will fall from heaven. The remnant of Israel will be gathered to Jerusalem. They will look for Him and He will come. They will see him in the clouds of heaven with all the holy angels. He will be clothed with power and great glory. Those people who don’t watch for Him will be cut off.
The generation, when these things will happen, will not end until all that Jesus told his disciples will be fulfilled. In future days the heaven and earth will pass away, but Jesus’ words will not pass away; they will all be fulfilled. Whoever treasures Jesus’ words will not be deceived.
The hour is near when what was spoken by Christ’s apostles will be fulfilled. Whatever they spoke, it will come to pass. Christ will reveal himself from heaven—with all the hosts—with power and great glory. He will dwell in righteousness with men on earth for a thousand years. But the wicked will not remain.
When the light begins to burst, it will be like the parable of the fig tree—When its branches are tender, and it’s leaves begin to bud, you know that summer is near. Therefore, when Christ’s elect sees all these signs, they will know that he is near, even at the doors. No one knows the day and hour of his coming, not even the angels of God in heaven; only God the Father.
We must look for these things. According to the Lord, they are near, and in the future, even the day of the coming of the Son of Man.
False Christs
There will arise false Christs and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders. If possible they will deceive the very elect—who are the elect according to the covenant. Jesus mentions this particular sign for the elect’s sake. He says that If someone says to you “He is in the desert,” don’t go there, or “He is in the secret chambers,” don’t believe it. The actual coming of the Son of Man will be like the light of the morning coming out of the east and shining to the west until it covers the whole earth.
People who seek signs will see signs, but not for their salvation. There are those among us who seek signs. People like that have been around since the beginning of the world. Faith doesn’t come by signs, but signs follow the people who believe. Signs happen because of faith, not by man’s will, nor as they please, but by God’s will. Signs come because of faith, because of mighty works. Without faith no man pleases God. God is angry and not pleased with these people. To them he doesn’t show any signs. He will only angrily show them signs to their condemnation. The Lord is not pleased with people among us who look for signs and wonders to increase faith, and not for God’s glory or for the good of men.
When the Times of the Gentiles is Fulfilled
In that generation the times of the Gentiles will be fulfilled. In that day—when the times of the Gentiles is completed—people will hear about wars and there will be rumors of wars. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; but we are not to be troubled because everything will come to pass. Even after all this, however, the end is not yet. Jesus is saying these things for his elect’s sake.
The Lord has angrily sworn that there will be wars on the face of the earth. The wicked will slay the wicked, and fear will come upon every man.The saints will hardly escape. However, the Lord is with them and he will come down from heaven from the presence of his Father and consume the wicked with unquenchable fire. This won’t happen yet, but eventually it will.
The whole earth will be in turmoil, and men’s hearts will fail them, and they will say that Christ delays his coming until the earth’s end. There will be pestilences and earthquakes in divers places and many desolations. But men will harden their hearts against the Lord, and they will take up the sword and fight and kill one another. Because iniquity will be everywhere, men will increasingly become emotionally cold. But those who are not overcome will be saved.
There will be men in that generation who will not die until they see an overflowing plague because a desolating sickness will cover the land. But the Lord’s disciples will stand in holy places and will not be affected. However, wicked men will raise their voices and curse God and die. The abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, will be fulfilled again.
The New Jerusalem
We hear of wars in foreign lands; they are near, even at our doors, and it won’t be many years until we hear about wars in our own lands. Therefore, we are to be gathered out from the eastern lands, and are to assemble ourselves together. The elders of the Lord’s church are to go into the western countries and call the people to repent. If they repent, then they are to build up churches to the Lord. With one heart and with one mind, we are to gather up all our riches so that we can purchase an inheritance that the Lord will determine for us. This inheritance will be called the New Jerusalem, a land of peace, a city of refuge, a place of safety for the saints of the Most High God. The glory of the Lord will be there, and the terror of the Lord will also be there, so that the wicked won’t come to it. It will be called Zion.
Every man, who is among the wicked, that will not fight against his neighbor should flee to Zion for safety. There will be people of every nation under heaven gathered to Zion. They will be the only people that will not be at war with each other. It will be said among the wicked: “Let’s not fight against Zion, for the people of Zion are terrible; and we wouldn’t win.” The righteous will be gathered out from among all nations, and will come to Zion, singing songs of everlasting joy.
We are to keep these things from the world until the Lord says otherwise, so that we may accomplish his work in the eyes of the people, and in the eyes of our enemies, so that they won’t know about our works until we have accomplished what the Lord has commanded us. When they know about our work, then they will consider these things. When the Lord appears he will be terrible to them, and fear may seize them, and they will stand afar off and tremble. All nations will be afraid because of the terror of the Lord, and the power of his might.
After the Tribulations
Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the earth will shake and sway back and forth like a drunken man; and the sun will be obscured, and will not display light; and the moon will be bathed in blood; and the stars will become extremely angry, and will hurl themselves down like a fig that falls from a fig tree. There will be greater signs above in heaven, and below in the earth. There will be crying and howling among all mankind. A great hailstorm will be sent to destroy the crops of the earth. The Son of Man will send his angels before he comes with the great sound of a trumpet. The angles will gather together the remainder of his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The Lord God will send flies upon the face of the earth. They will swarm the people and eat their flesh. As a result, maggots will cover their bodies. People won’t be able to speak and complain against the Lord. Their skin will fall off their bones, and their eyes will come out of their sockets. Animals and birds will eat their bodies.
The Mount of Olives
Then the arm of the Lord will fall upon the nations. The Lord will set his foot upon the Mount of Olives, and it will divide in two, and the earth will tremble, and sway from side to side and backwards and forwards, and the heavens also will shake. The Lord will speak, and all the ends of the earth will hear it; and the nations of the earth will mourn, and they that have laughed will see their foolishness. Calamity will cover the mocker, and the scorner will be consumed; and they that have watched for iniquity will be chopped down and cast into the fire.
Then the Jews will look at the Lord and ask: “What are these wounds that are in your hands and in your feet?” Then they will realize that He is the Lord because he will say to them: “These wounds are the wounds with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. I am he who was lifted up. I am Jesus that was crucified. I am the Son of God.” Then they will weep because of their iniquities; they will lament because they persecuted their king.
After their trials the tribe of Judah will be sanctified in holiness before the Lord, to dwell in his presence day and night, forever and ever. Calling upon the name of the Lord day and night, saying:
“O that thou wouldst rend the heavens, that thou wouldst come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.”
It will be answered upon their heads; for the presence of the Lord will be like melting fire that burns, and like fire which causes water to boil.
“O Lord, you will come down to make your name known to your adversaries, and all nations will tremble at your presence—When you do terrible things, things they don’t look for; when you come down, and the mountains flow down at your presence, you will meet them who rejoice and work righteousness, who remember you in your ways. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard or perceived by the ear, neither has any eye seen, O God, besides you, how great things you have prepared for them that wait for you.”
Earth Changed
And his voice will be like the voice of many waters, and like a voice of great thunder, which will break down the mountains, and the valleys will disappear. He will command the seas, and they will be driven back into the north countries, and the islands will become one land. The land of Jerusalem and the land of Zion will be turned back into their own place, and the earth will be like as it was in the days before it was divided. The Lord, even the Savior, will stand in the midst of his people, and will reign over all flesh.
The Son of Man Comes in the Clouds of Heaven
Angels will fly through the midst of heaven, crying with a loud voice, and sounding the trump of God, saying:
“Prepare, prepare, inhabitants of the earth; for the judgment of our God is come. Look, the Bridegroom comes; go out to meet him.”
Then there will be silence in heaven for a half an hour. Immediately following that the curtain of heaven will be unfolded—like a scroll is unfolded after it is rolled up—and the face of the Lord will be revealed.
The powers of heaven will be shaken and then the sign of the Son of Man in heaven will appear and everyone will see it at the same time. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, because they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. Then another angel will sound his trump, saying:
“That great church, who is the mother of abominations, made all the nations drink the wine of the wrath of her fornication. She persecuted the saints of God; she shed their blood. She sits upon many waters, and upon the islands of the sea. Look, she is the tares of the earth. She has been bound in bundles, and her bands are strong so that no one can loose them. She is ready to be burned.”
That angel will sound his trump long and loud, and all nations will hear it. The great and abominable church, who is the whore of all the earth, will be destroyed by devouring fire. This event was spoken by Ezekiel the prophet. It has not yet happened but, as the Lord lives, it will because abominations will not endure.
And it will be said: “Who is this that cometh down from God in heaven with dyed garments; even from the regions that are not known, clothed in his glorious apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength?”
And the Lord will say: “I am he who spake in righteousness, mighty to save.”
The Lord will be red in his apparel, and his garments will look like someone who has tread in the wine-vat. So great will be the glory of his presence that the sun will hide his face in shame, and the moon will withhold its light, and the stars will be hurled from their places.
And the Lord’s voice will be heard:
“I have trod the wine-press alone, and have brought judgment upon all people; and none were with me; And I have trampled them in my fury, and I did tread upon them in my anger, and their blood have I sprinkled on my garments, and stained all my clothing; for this was the day of vengeance which was in my heart. And now the year of my redeemed is come; and they will mention the loving kindness of their Lord, and all that he has bestowed upon them according to his goodness, and according to his loving kindness, forever and ever.”
First Trump and First Resurrection
An angel will sound his trump long and loud, just as it did on Mount Sinai. All the earth will quake. The saints that are upon the earth, who are alive, shall be quickened and be caught up to meet the Lord. The dead, which died in Christ, will arise and will also be caught up to meet the Lord in the midst of the pillar of heaven. These souls are Christ’s, the first fruits, they who will descend to the earth with him first. So the first ones that are caught up to meet the Lord are people who are already on the earth and the dead in their graves. All this will happen at the sounding of the first trump by the angel of God.
The righteous will be gathered on the Lord’s right hand when he stands upon Mount Zion, and upon the holy city, the New Jerusalem. They will sing the song of the Lamb, day and night forever and ever. They are blessed, they know the Lord, and they will come unto Him and their souls will live, and their redemption will be perfected. They will receive a crown of righteousness and they will be clothed just like Christ so that they can be with him. This is so they may be united with him.
Jesus Christ firmly decrees, by the Father’s will, that His apostles, the Twelve who were with him in his ministry at Jerusalem, will stand at his right hand at the day of his coming. They will be in a pillar of fire; they will be clothed with robes of righteousness; there will be crowns on their heads; their glory will be just like Jesus Christ’s; and they will judge the whole house of Israel, but only those who loved Christ and kept his commandments—no one else.
The pagan nations will be redeemed, and they that didn’t know law will have part in the first resurrection; and it will be bearable for them.
All those who suffer persecution for the Lord’s name, and endure in faith, even though they may be called to lay down their lives for his sake, they will partake of all this glory. Blessed are those that die in the Lord. Those who die in the Lord will rise from the dead and will not die after. They will receive an inheritance from the Lord in the holy city.
Prophecy Fulfilled
Then the prophecy will be fulfilled that states that in the last days when two are in the field, one will be taken, and the other will be left. Two will be grinding at the mill, the one will be taken, and the other will be left. Everyone watch, because you don’t know when the Lord will come.
According to the parable: if the good man of the house had known at what time of the day the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to have been broken up, but would have been ready. So be ready because in an hour that you don’t think, the Second Coming will happen.
Who is a faithful and wise servant of those whom the lord has made rulers over his earthly kingdom, who are teaching his children gospel truth? Blessed is the servant whom the lord finds teaching his children truth when he comes. That servant will be made ruler in the Lord’s heavenly kingdom.
However, if the evil servant says in his heart, “My lord delays his coming” and persecutes his fellow members, and eats and drinks with the drunken, then the lord of that servant will come in a day that the servant isn’t aware of, and in an hour that the servant isn’t aware of. The lord will cut the servant apart, and will send him to be with the hypocrites. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
More Trumps Sounded
After this another angel will sound a second trump. The dead who are Christ’s at his coming will be redeemed. They are given a place in a prison that is prepared for them, so that they can receive the gospel and be judged like the people who are still living.
Then a third trump will sound. The spirits of men who are judged, and who will be condemned, will arise. These are the rest of the dead. They won’t be resurrected until the thousand years are ended and until the end of the earth.
Then another trump will sound, which is the fourth trump, saying:
“There are found among those who are to wait around until that great and last day, even the end, who will still be filthy.”
Then another trump will sound, which is the fifth trump. This is the fifth angel who commits the everlasting gospel. He flys through the midst of heaven, to all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people. This will be the sound of his trump, saying to all people, both in heaven and in earth, and that are under the earth—for every ear will hear it, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess, while they hear the sound of the trump, saying:
“Fear God, and give glory to him who sits on the throne, forever and ever; for the hour of his judgment is come.”
Then another angel will sound his trump, which is the sixth angel, saying:
“She is fallen who made all nations drink the wine of the wrath of her fornication; she is fallen, is fallen!”
Then another angel will sound his trump, which is the seventh angel, saying:
“It is finished; it is finished! The Lamb of God has overcome and trod the wine-press alone, even the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.”
Then the angels will be crowned with the glory of the Lord’s might, and the saints will be filled with his glory, and receive their inheritance and be made equal with the Lord.
This will be the end of the wicked, according to the prophecy of Moses, saying: The wicked servants will be cut off from the righteous; but the end of the earth is not yet. It will happen later.
It is Finished
Then the first angel will again sound his trump in the ears of all living people, and reveal men’s secret acts, as well as the mighty works of God, in the first thousand years. The second angel will sound his trump, and reveal men’s secret acts, and the thoughts and intents of their hearts, as well as the mighty works of God, in the second thousand years. And so on, until the seventh angel will sound his trump. That angel will stand upon the land and upon the sea, and swear in the name of him who sits on the throne, that time is up and Satan will be bound. That old serpent, who is called the devil, will not be loosed for a thousand years.
At that day, when the Lord comes in his glory, the parable of the ten virgins will be fulfilled. Those who are wise and have received the truth, and have the Holy Spirit as their guide, and who have not been deceived—they will not be cut down and cast into the fire. They will tolerate the day. The saints will come from the four quarters of the earth. The earth will be given to them for an inheritance and they will multiply and grow strong, and their children will grow up without sin to salvation. The Lord will be among them, and his glory will be upon them. They will be filled with the Lord’s glory, and be made equal with the Lord and he will be their king and their lawgiver.
Lost Tribes Return
They who are in the north countries will come before the Lord in remembrance. Their prophets will hear his voice, and will no longer stay themselves, and they will break the rocks, and the ice will flow down at their presence. An highway will be cast up in the middle of the sea. Their enemies will become a prey to them. In the barren deserts there will be pools of living water; and the parched ground will no longer be thirsty.
They will bring their rich treasures to the children of Ephraim, the Lord’s servants. The boundaries of the everlasting hills will tremble at their presence. In Zion they will fall down and be crowned with glory by the hands of the servants of the Lord; the children of Ephraim. They will be filled with songs of everlasting joy. This is the blessing of the everlasting God upon the tribes of Israel, and the richer blessing upon the head of Ephraim and his people.
Millennium
When the Lord comes, old things will pass away, and all things will become new. Satan will be bound and he will have no place in the hearts of the children of men. He will not have power to tempt anyone.
In that day the hostility of man, and beasts, and all flesh will cease from before the Lord’s face. Whatever anyone asks, it will be given unto them.
In that day there will be no sorrow because there is no death. An infant will not die until he is old; and his life will be as the age of a tree. When he dies he will not sleep—that is to say in the earth—but will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, and will then be caught up, and his rest will be glorious.
In that day, people that are alive when the Lord comes, and that have kept the faith, are blessed. It will be established that they will die at the age of man. Old men will die, but they won’t sleep in the dust. They will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. This is the glory of God, and the sanctified; and they will not see any more death.
In that day when the Lord comes he will reveal all things—things which have passed, hidden things which no one knew, things of the earth—how it was made, and the purpose and the end thereof—things most precious, things that are above, and things that are beneath, things that are in the earth, and upon the earth, and in heaven.
In that day, we will have no king or ruler, for the Lord will be our king and he will watch over us. We will be a free people, and we will have no laws but the Lord’s laws because he is our lawgiver.
When the Thousand Years are Ended
When the thousand years are ended, and men once again begin to deny their God, the earth will be spared for a short period. Then Satan will be loosed for a little season, so that he can gather together his armies. Michael, the seventh angel—who is the archangel—will gather together his armies, who are the hosts of heaven. The devil will gather together his armies, who are the hosts of hell, and will battle against Michael and his armies. This will be the battle of the great God. The devil and his armies will be cast away into their own place, and they will not have power over the saints any more; ever. This is because Michael will fight our battles, and will overcome Satan who sought the throne of him who sits upon the throne, even the Lamb of God.
Before the earth dies, Michael the archangel will sound his trump, and then all the dead will awake, for their graves will be opened, and they will arise— all of them. The wicked will be gathered on the Lord’s left hand. He will be ashamed to own the wicked before the Father. The Lord will say to the wicked, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into everlasting fire, which is prepared for the devil and his angels.” Never at any time has the Lord declared from his own mouth that the wicked will return. Where he is they cannot come, because they have no power.
Then the end will come. The heaven and the earth will be consumed and die, and then there will be a new heaven and a new earth. All old things will die, and all things will become new, even the heaven and the earth, in its fulness. This includes men, animals, birds, and fishes. Not one hair or speck will be lost, because everything is the Lord’s creation.
The Lord sees fit to give us greater riches, even a land of promise, a place where there is plenty and life is very easy, and that will not be cursed when the Lord comes. The Lord will give it to us for the land of our inheritance, if we seek it with all our hearts. This is his covenant with us, we will have it for the land of our inheritance, and forever for the inheritance of our children, all the while the earth stands, and we will possess it again in eternity. The earth will never pass away. Those who endure in faith and do His will, will overcome, and will receive an inheritance upon the earth when the day of transfiguration comes, when the earth is transfigured.
