The Golf Aficionado

Usually Mister will pick a golf course on a Saturday morning and head off to play 18 Holes with either a friend, or more often, strangers. The majority of the time I stay home, but sometimes, just sometimes, I tag along. Such was the case on two absolutely beautiful Saturdays in October. On the first Saturday we headed northeast to a Golf Course in a beautiful mountain valley. To say that it was a perfect day is an understatement. The next week we headed north to the city where Mister golfed at a favorite golf course. The day was in stiff competition with the Saturday preceding in terms of mild weather and lovely skies and views. When I accompany Mister he first has to rent a golf cart, so he misses out on the exercise of walking 18 holes. Next, I usually buy soda and treats, or french fries, or what other food is junk. So crap food is the fare. Reading a book is far too distracting. It’s hard for me to start and stop my reading every few minutes. As a result, I either play Spider Solitaire, peruse Social Media, read Apple News, or search interesting topics on the Internet. No Daily Show videos. Too noisy. As the cameras in phones have increased in quality, and as fun features have been added, I also take photos and video of Mister in his golfing element. In this video, Mister comments that his swing is flat, something that he needs to work on. But I exclaim “Nice shot!” So do the other players.
